Anxiety is sold to us as a thing. It is not healthy to think of yourself as someone with anxiety. You are not an anxious person. You are just doing something in your subconscious mind that is making you feel anxious. It is just a feeling and your mind can be changed.
If you are feeling stressed or anxious then something needs to change. You either need to change your circumstances or change the way that you respond to your circumstances.
Changing your circumstances is an external change and will likely require a lot of time and effort but sometimes this is necessary. However changing the way you respond to your circumstances need not be as complicated as you might think.
Everyone does anxiety differently but I am here to work with you. There are various things that I will be looking out for and assisting you to change:
Your Belief
I need to challenge your belief that you are an anxious person. Your default setting is quietly confident and comfortable in your mind but life teaches you other ways of being. We just need to clear the deck of the unhelpful stuff so that you can return to your default self. You are not ill.
Using hypnosis I can probably show you that your reality is what you make it so you do not need to believe the anxious reality that your mind gives you. Hypnosis can help tech you to find one that suits you better.
Worry
Worry is a way for your mind to feel like it is doing something when there's no action to take. I can speak to the part of your mind that is worrying excessively and give it a new job or perhaps just teach it to focus only the things that it can control.
Narrative Life
Sometimes previous experiences teach us to feel anxious and the traumas in our life dictate how we feel all the time even though there is plenty of good stuff as well. Hypnosis provides ways of changing the way you tell your life story to yourself so you can feel more enabled to live the lifestyle that you wish to and feel less of a victim.
Panic
Panic is not necessary. Whatever you are dealing with panic is an extreme reaction and does not help you deal with it. I can help you put your reactions into context and create more of a gradient of responses in your mind. Give you a sense of more choice so that you can stop fearing the anxiety.
Self-Criticism
It can feel that you are your own worst enemy or that at least part of you hates you but with hypnosis I treat that part of your mind as a friend and ask for a little more carrot and little less stick so the two of you can work better together. There is usually a reason for this self-criticism and by addressing the part with respect we can often achieve a mutual respect or clear up a misunderstanding between different parts of your mind so that your mind becomes more integrated.
What Others Think
You are the expert on you and there is no need for you to put other people think over what you think. We will aim at making you feel more comfortable focusing on making yourself happy before others as that is what you are best qualified to do.
Rest
The more rest you get the more capacity you have to deal with life's challenges and the less rest you get the harder they are going to be to deal with. Unfortunately anxiety prevents you from getting that rest. I will be aiming to help you out of that paradox!
Stop Looking For It
When you have lived with anxiety for so long it is automatic to wake up and wonder how anxious you feel. Just by asking yourself that question can be enough to provoke an anxious reaction. Anxiety goes away when you are able to stop paying attention to it so this is generally the last thing I will help with before we part ways, once we have dealt with the rest.
It may be all of the above that needs your attention or it may just be some of it. Just by thinking slightly differently you can take an enormous amount of pressure of yourself and in doing that the anxiety will fade away so that you can think your thoughts instead of being thought by your thoughts.

Alternatively I can talk to your subconscious mind and change the way it thinks about things and experiences your life and that will change way you feel.
If external changes need to happen hypnosis can help you accept that certain things are the way they are so that you can let go and move on.
If your anxiety is down to past experiences hypnosis can help detach you from them so that you can walk forwards through life instead of backwards seeing each new situation as independent from previous bad experiences.

I’ve found I haven’t been worrying so much, for example I used to worry about going to work long before my shift started- for no reason. This has stopped all together!
