I am referring to them as depression symptoms as I do not believe in depression. I do not believe that depression is a thing. I do not believe you have depression. I just believe that there are things going on in your mind that are causing you to feel depressed.
If you take a look at my What Is Hypnosis Page I talk about natural trance states. If you are experiencing depression then you are in a trance state, a state of focus on what is wrong. You are so focussed on what is wrong that you cannot truly see or experience what is still right or cannot possibly concentrate for long enough on what you need to do to make it right. Whatever the reason for it, this is self-hypnosis, perhaps to protect you from further disappointment, but it probably feels like it is happening to you.
As you work with me you will begin to understand your thought processes in a different way. As I demonstrate to you that you create your reality you can start to liberate yourself from the darkness as you start to notice that other thoughts, feelings and strategies are there and they always have been, you have just not been aware of them.
During a hypnotic show someone might be hypnotised to believe that they are the greatest rock star in the world, or in love with a mop. They are not. Their mind has just been fixated on this one idea so all the evidence to the contrary goes unnoticed. You are not depressed - life has just fixated your mind onto the idea that there's no point, that even if you try it will just go wrong again, that you don't deserve to be happy. None of those thoughts are real though.
As a hypnotist it is my job to fixate your mind on some healthier thoughts to provide a different coping strategy or just wake you up from the depressive state so you an make your own decisions again.
